Lack Of Hotel Accomodation For Royal Wedding
London’s scarcity of excellent visitor accommodation will be put to the test in April for the forthcoming Royal Wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton.
It is expected that around half a million guests will visit London for the wedding ceremony and this also mean that some will have to find private accommodation.
There are also nine different location that provide Serviced accommodation in London which will get fully booked quickly.
So how will every one of these visitors be accommodated?
Many of the coming wave of visitors are expected to exploit personal connections to safe at the very least some couch space: if they know people in the capital, the option of being with relatives and friends means the UK capital may at least avoid a tent city.
But you may still find many people left with no places to stay for the event, and here is where London home-owners will rent out there property at massive rates. We know that when a big event comes to the city such as Wimbledon then the average cost of a bed in London rises. The royal wedding will take place over an extended bank holiday weekend, and home owners will rent out their properties for three to four times the usual rate.
So if you don’t fancy taking pot luck one of the classifieds, and you do not know anyone in London (or feel like something much better than couch space anyway), where can you go? serviced apartments London won’t rocket in price a lot as hotel rooms, so you must promptly snap up any deal which is left.
But will price, or shortage, put off die-hard royal watchers wanting to hear the wedding bells in person? Apparently not. Many overseas visitors are resigned to having to pay a royal wedding premium – and they are booking in droves!
