Decorate the head table and the perimeter of the room with items representing the things they like to do. If they are motorcycle enthusiasts, park a motorcycle near the head table (be sure to get permission from the hall owner first) or add a motorcycle helmet as the centerpiece for each table. Stock the bar with baseball bat shaped swizzle sticks for the drinks, including non alcoholic drinks, if the bride and groom are baseball people.

Did someone say trivia? If the bride and groom are trivia people, make up posters with trivia questions and set them out around the room. Make the lettering big enough so they can be read from a distance. Be sure to include the answers on the back. Or maybe reverse trivia. Post the answers and let the guests come up with the questions.

Sleds/Sleigh - If a horse drawn sleigh is not in the budget, maybe you can use old fashioned sleds to decorate your wedding reception. Maybe the sleds can be transformed to use as a getaway.

Penguins - Penguins are found in the extreme cold. For a unique winter wedding decoration, incorporate penguins into your decor.

Christmas Decorations - Christmas is associated with winter. You could have a winter wedding decorated with Christmas decorations. Christmas decorations are readily available until New Year's and you can even save on the cost of decorating your winter wedding.

No matter where your wedding takes place there will always be room for a photograph collage, high lighting the bride and grooms life. From the cradle to an engagement picture the guests will delight in seeing the just married couple as children and the growing up years.

Valentine's Day Decorations - Valentine's Day is also in winter. You may want to use Valentine's Day decorations for their beautiful red and pink color. Valentine's Day is the holiday for love and weddings are all about love. Put the two together for a unique winter wedding.
