Miniature Wedding Cakes

For some couples, enormous, tiered wedding cakes are basically too much. It might be that they are having a small wedding, or maybe they just do not want to go with something similar to this and they'd like to add their own touch to their own marriage. You may have cupcakes for your wedding, or you can see if you can find small wedding cakes that you will like instead. These are a little like cupcakes, but not quite. These are very good to add a different, idiosyncratic touch to your big day, and are also a great way to save a little money if your marriage and budget are small.

Small wedding cakes can be about the same size as cupcakes, but that's where the similarity ends. These are typically cut from large sheet cakes and then decorated as little, single cakes. These square cakes can be decorated all in the same way, or they can each have their own look. You may have three or 4 different variations, and then mix them up when you set them out for display. The square size is generally the size of a single serving, but they can be 2, three, or four servings if you like. They can be straightforward or complicated, depending on what you need for your reception.

You may get other shapes for your tiny wedding cakes. It's easy to get some that look like gumdrops, or it's easy to get triangles. Virtually anything you can imagine you can have for these tiny, fragile cakes to help to your visitors. They can be made into just about anything you wish if you would like these little cakes to go with the theme of your wedding. Just like an enormous cake, the decorating of these cakes is your decision and what your baker can do with them. They can each go in a single serve box to take home too.

One of the benefits of having tiny wedding cakes is that you can decide to have many different flavours of cake rather than just one or two that you may get with a standard, tiered wedding cake design. You can go with as many or as few as you like with no need to spend a lot more money on it. If you've got a favorite that you know the majority of your guests may not like, this is a good way to get what you want while offering them things you are sure they are going to enjoy. Children like simple tastes, and if you are having children at your reception, this is fun and easy for them, and you do not have to worry if they like the mocha coconut cake that you like.

If you are having a huge marriage, tiny wedding cakes are going to cost more. They can save cash for a tiny wedding, but are usually more work when you have to have a significant number of them for your visitors. If you've got the budget to spend more on your cake, and you like the look of these dainty small cakes, go forward and do what you like. They can be displayed in many fun ways and are more manageable than the standard cake. Your guests are not likely to forget them anytime soon either.
