Mermaid Birthday Cake For Your Liitle Princess
Birthday cakes are a special treat that each kid is looking forward to. You too can make your small princess's first birthday cake recipes special by baking a cake yourself. Just follow the easy mermaid white chocolate cake recipe given below. This recipe is among the most popular first birthday cake recipes.
What you will need:
- White chocolate - 600 grams
- Unsalted butter at 70 degrees - 400 grams
- Milk - 500 ml
- Salt - 2 small spoons
- Castor sugar - 330 grams
- Vanilla extract - 4 teaspoons
- Eggs - 4 large
- Self raising flour - 200 grams
- Plain flour - 300 grams
Method:
- Grease one 19cm and one 23cm round cake pan and dust the insides with a little flour.
- Preheat the cooker to 160 degrees Celsius.
- In a heavy bottomed pan, add the milk, white chocolate, unsalted butter, sugar and salt. Heat on low heat until the butter and chocolate melts. Keep stirring continuously so that the mix is smooth and without clumps.
- Take from the heat and cool for 15-20 minutes.
- Beat the eggs and vanilla extract in a little bowl.
- Add the eggs to the chocolate mix and mix well.
- In a separate bowl, mix the two flours.
- Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients one spoon at a time. Mix well so that all the ingredients are mixed well.
- Tip the batter in the two greased pans.
- Bake in the preheated stove at 160C for about 60 minutes and 15 minutes.
- To check if the cake is done, insert a toothpick in the middle and if it comes out clean the cake is done.
- Take from the stove and cool a touch before starting with decorations.
For the decorations you may need:
- White chocolate rasped - 3 cups
- Blueberry jelly - 1 packet
- Toy mermaid - 1
- Chocolate chips - 1/2 cup
- Chocolate slices - 1/2 cup
- Jelly beans - 1 cup
- Jelly pipes - 3
Method:
- Place the giant cake on a cake stand.
- Cut out the center of the smaller cake and place the cake on top of the enormous cake.
- Melt the white chocolate over a double boiler and decant over the cakes to cover from all sides.
- Let the chocolate set on the cakes for some time.
- Prepare the blueberry jelly using 2/3 the amount of water discussed in the packet. Let the jelly cool but don't set absolutely.
- Tip the cooled jelly in the well.
- Insert the jelly pipes in the well and leave them hanging out.
- Place the mermaid on the fringe of the well.
- Decorate the sides of the cake with jelly beans, chocolate chips and chocolate slices.
